Rocket Panda Games has announced that Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate will be delayed by two months. Originally scheduled for February 13, 2025, the game will now launch on April 17, 2025. Producer Masaki Sakari explained the reasons behind the delay and shared updates on the game’s progress.
Delay Reasons Explained
According to Sakari, the single-player experience is nearly complete, but challenges with the online features have caused delays. The team has encountered unexpected difficulties in implementing and testing cross-play multiplayer across platforms. This includes Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. Sakari emphasized the importance of ensuring a smooth and cohesive multiplayer experience for players at launch.
The producer also took full responsibility for the delay. And, asked for fans’ understanding and patience as the team works to complete the game.
What’s New in Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate?
Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate is a reworked version of the original game released a decade ago. It has been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, offering improved visuals, smoother gameplay, and enhanced mechanics.
