With the 23 newly supported games added this week, this makes for a very interesting start of 2025 for PlayStation that also saw Hideaki Nishino being appointed as its new CEO.

Nishino also holds the position of CEO of the platform group at SIE, was the head of the team that designed the PlayStation Portal and has mentioned plans to use the Portal with cloud gaming as a lower priced alternative to enjoy the PlayStation platform ecosystem.

Some notable games added this week are NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black which was just revealed during the Xbox Developer_Direct last week and released on the same day, and Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess which was acclaimed by critics on its release in the summer of 2024.
