Similar to Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus is a game subscription service within the Sony PlayStation ecosystem. PlayStation Plus Premium also includes Cloud Gaming support, offering a comparable top-tier experience.
Most games available through PlayStation Plus can be streamed from the cloud to both PS4 and PS5 consoles, as well as Windows PCs. However, when games leave PS Plus, they generally also leave PlayStation Cloud Gaming. A notable exception exists for a subset of PS5 games, which can still be streamed from the cloud if they have been purchased outright from the PlayStation Store. Currently, this cloud streaming feature for purchased PS5 games is exclusive to the PS5 console itself. Unfotunately, that limitation does negate most of the benefit of cloud gaming.
