
PlayStation Plus Will Go Up In Price In 15 Latin American Countries
Price increases are never good and never what the consumer wants to see. Sony has announced that the cost of PS Plus will increase in 15 Latin American countries.
The price increase will take effect from April 16th 2025 and affect all Tiers of PS Plus.
Countries affected by the increase include:
- Argentina
- Bolivia
- Chile
- Colombia
- Costa Rica
- Ecuador
- El Salvador
- Guatemala
- Honduras
- Mexico
- Nicaragua
- Panama
- Paraguay
- Peru
- Uruguay
Sony made the following statement in regards to the increase:
‘Like many companies around the world, we continue to be impacted by global market conditions and will be adjusting our local PlayStation Plus pricing. This pricing adjustment will allow us to continue offering high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription.’
In terms of the pricing of PS Plus in these countries, the new prices will now be as follows:
PlayStation Plus Essential:
1 month: $7.99
3 months: $20.99
12 months: $64.99
PlayStation Plus Extra:
1 month: $11.99
3 months: $33.99
12 months: $107.99
PlayStation Plus Deluxe:
1 month: $13.99
3 months: $39.99
12 months: $124.99
The news was made on the back of an announcement of the additional games that will soon be available on the PS Plus Extra & Premium Tiers. One of the games was the fantastic Hogwarts Legacy which is a great addition to Sony’s subscription service.
