The chaos returns to Aeternum next week as New World: Aeternum kicks off its latest Rabbit’s Revenge event. Starting April 15 and running through April 28, this annual hunt invites you to face off against corrupted rabbits that are far more dangerous than they look.
Yes, they’re back—and they’re not cute.
Hunt Corrupted Rabbits for Limited-Time Rewards
Throughout the event, corrupted rabbits will appear across Aeternum, dropping a variety of limited-time loot. Some items are fairly common, while others require dedication. Here’s what you can earn:
- Diamond Gypsum (66% drop rate, 6 per day)
- Defiled Rabbit’s Foot (80% drop rate, 5 per day – boosts luck)
- Corrupted Rabbit Mask (1.5% drop rate, guaranteed after 200 kills)
- Corruption’s Peak Weapon (1% drop rate, guaranteed after 300 kills)
- Corruption’s Barricade Armor Skin (0.5% drop rate, guaranteed after 350 kills)
- Defiled Storage Chest of the Hare (0.25% drop rate, guaranteed after 400 kills)
If you’re looking for new gear, this year’s event includes parts of the Corrupted Rabbit’s Armor Set—legs, gloves, and boots are all earnable through drops. You can also complete the look with the Corruption’s Rabbit Helm, available in the in-game store during the event.
Prepare for the Hunt
There’s something funny about how New World turns the harmless into horrifying. I still remember last year’s event catching me off guard. You see a rabbit, you think loot piñata. Then it growls—and you’re halfway to respawn before you know what happened. I’ll definitely be jumping back in this time around… with better armour.
