Update (May 21): Red Dead Redemption 2 was released to PS Plus but did NOT receive cloud gaming support.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was without a doubt one of the best games on Google Stadia. With Stadia’s demise, the game hasn’t been playable from the cloud. Rockstar hasn’t been aggressive about adding games to the cloud since Stadia’s launch. But, Grand Theft Auto V is available to play on PlayStation Cloud Gaming (via PS Plus) and the game was also available on Xbox Cloud Gaming while it was on Game Pass.
So, we are excited to see Red Dead Redemption 2 getting announced for PS Plus this month. It joins the following 13 games in getting added to the subscription service on May 21.
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Deceive Inc
- The Sims 4
- Crime Boss: Rockay City
- The Settlers: New Allies
- Stranded: Alien Dawn
- Cat Quest
- Cat Quest II
- The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame
- Watch Dogs
- 2Xtreme
- G-Police
- Worms Pinball
It’s another pretty good list of titles for the month. PlayStation Plus is set to lose 26 games this month, however, including most of the Final Fantasy games. This could be a rare month where PlayStation Cloud ends up with a net negative change in game availability.
Red Dead Redemption 2, though, is tops on our list of Stadia Games that haven’t yet returned to the cloud!
