Sloclap, the studio behind Sifu, has officially launched Rematch, its new online football action game, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Unlike traditional football simulators, Rematch adopts a third-person perspective and focuses on moment-to-moment decision-making, manual gameplay, and team coordination.
Featuring 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5 modes, including ranked play, Rematch strips the sport down to its fundamentals: no assists, no stats, and no automation. Every movement and action on the pitch is fully controlled by the player. There are no fouls, just uninterrupted competitive action. Players take on the role of a single athlete, emphasizing skill-based play and strategic teamwork.
The game launched alongside a new trailer that showcases its signature arcade-style matches set in colorful, imaginative stadiums. Players can unlock customization items for characters and arenas, and build their own squads as they rise up the competitive ladder.
Season 0 begins today and includes four core game modes. Sloclap has confirmed that additional content is already in development, including new maps, outfits, gameplay modes, and other features aimed at expanding both casual and competitive options.
According to Sloclap, nearly 2 million players joined the beta phase last month. The full release is available now starting at €24.99, with all three platforms launching simultaneously. The game is also available on both Game Pass and Xbox Cloud.
