Remedy Entertainment is hosting a special livestream for FBC: Firebreak on April 24. The broadcast will include new gameplay and a deeper look at what’s coming to the co-op shooter. Remedy also says it will share “key launch details and future plans.” It’s scheduled to go live at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT. And, it will be streamed across Remedy’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
This follow-up comes after FBC: Firebreak appeared at the Galaxies Showcase. That showing included the “Hazards of the Job” trailer and new gameplay footage. If you missed that, we’ve got a full recap here.
What to Expect From the Stream
Remedy hasn’t shared the full rundown yet. However, they’ve confirmed the stream will cover launch details, post-launch plans, and new gameplay. That likely means we’ll get a release date to narrow down the current “summer 2025” window. And, possibly a preview of the game’s update roadmap.
FBC: Firebreak is a three-player co-op shooter set inside the Oldest House, the shifting headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control. The latest trailer showed off a few of the threats you’ll encounter. These include spreading fires, exploding paranormal growths, and rogue sticky notes. Missions will require coordination and quick thinking, especially with hazards that change how each area plays.
Expect more details on how loadouts work, what kind of weapons and tools you’ll be using, and how different characters fit together during missions. Remedy has already confirmed that all playable content will be available to everyone, with no paid level packs or exclusive modes.
Platform Details and Day One Access
FBC: Firebreak is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Remedy has confirmed that the game will be available day one through Game Pass for console and PC, as well as PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.
The game is not free-to-play, but all missions and post-launch content will be included at no extra cost once you’ve got access through your platform of choice. Pricing details for non-subscription users haven’t been shared yet, but that may be addressed during the April 24 livestream.
We’ll be watching the livestream and covering any major announcements as they happen. Are you planning to check it out live, or waiting to hear what’s revealed?
