Revamped Combat and New Features Arrive in Lords of the Fallen Update 1.7

HEXWORKS, a CI Games studio, has released Update 1.7 for Lords of the Fallen on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The update, available today from 10am PT (1pm ET, 6pm GMT, 7pm CET), brings significant improvements to the game’s combat system, alongside several quality-of-life changes aimed at enhancing the player experience.

The combat overhaul follows extensive community feedback and player testing, introducing changes designed to make the gameplay feel smoother and more responsive. Highlights include better animation canceling, improved invincibility frames, more intuitive dodges and rolls, grievous strike prompts, a recalibrated stamina system, and more. These tweaks aim to make character control more dynamic and accessible for newcomers, while adding depth for seasoned players.

In addition to combat adjustments, Update 1.7 introduces features such as the option to enable automatic Vigor collection (originally added in Update 1.6), refined enemy attack ranges for more realistic encounters, and further balancing for New Game Plus. Players can now summon NPC allies to assist with boss fights before the initial encounter, a feature previously available only after a defeat. These NPCs have also been rebalanced to provide greater support during battles.

To celebrate the update, the Standard Edition of Lords of the Fallen is now available on Steam at a 60% discount for a limited time, marking its lowest price to date on the platform.
