The Savage Planet universe returns in May 2025 with Revenge of the Savage Planet, the satirical sci-fi sequel to Journey to the Savage Planet. Announced during the PC Gaming Show, the game is being developed and self-published by Raccoon Logic (mostly made up of ex Typhoon Studios employees), with a release planned for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
This follow-up builds on the humour and chaotic exploration of the original game, which was released on multiple platforms, including Google Stadia—a milestone for cloud gaming. Journey to the Savage Planet was celebrated for its cooperative gameplay, earning a loyal fanbase. With Revenge of the Savage Planet, Raccoon Logic is expanding the series with more planets, gear, critters, and of course, goo.
A Galactic Rivalry Unfolds
The game sees the return of Journey to the Savage Planet’s eccentric Kindred Aerospace CEO, Martin Tweed. This time, he’s facing off against his rival, Gunther Harrison, CEO of Alta Interglobal. Abandoned on an alien planet after Alta deems your space-colonizing mission too costly, you must scavenge, explore, and repurpose resources to return home. Along the way, you’ll scan plants, capture creatures, and upgrade gear while exploring strange worlds filled with humour and surprises.
