It Looks Like When & Not If Starfield Arrives On PS5

A new report from MP1ST has suggested that Starfield could finally launch on PS5 in Spring 2026.

This would be done alongside the second major expansion for the game. The report continues to add that the PS5 version won’t launch in 2025 ‘due to the RPG’s weak sales of the first expansion, Shattered Space‘.

The report further adds:

From what we were told, Starfield’s release on PS5 is planned to coincide with the game’s second expansion and other quality-of-life updates. We are also not expecting any announcement about the PS5 version of the game at this August’s gamescom, so don’t expect it to be shadowdropped like Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered release a few months ago

The new multiplatform strategy from Xbox means it will come as no surprise at all when Starfield is eventually announced and released for the PS5 console. The only real surprise at this moment in time is that it has not been announced yet.

Starfield

Of course, as with any rumour, you should approach it with caution until it has been officially confirmed or announced. However, given what I have also heard personally in regards to Starfield on PS5, I would be extremely surprised if we do not see it arrive in the not-so-distant future.

Starfield is currently available on Xbox and PC. It can also be played on a range of cloud gaming services. These include GeForce NOW, Boosteroid and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
