Sea of Thieves Season 15 Brings New Wildlife, Voyages, and Threats

Sea of Thieves Season 15 sets sail with a major expansion to The Hunter’s Call, introducing new wildlife, expanded progression, and thrilling encounters across the seas. With new creatures to hunt, exclusive rewards to earn, and dangerous Megalodons lurking beneath the waves, pirates have plenty of fresh challenges ahead.

The Hunter’s Call Expands

The Hunter’s Call is taking center stage in Season 15, with new Outpost stations and commissioned Voyages aimed at tracking and defeating wildlife. Players will encounter new varieties of Megalodon, unique Treasured Fish, and even wild boars roaming the islands. The faction has also expanded its reputation system with five new levels of Distinction, allowing dedicated hunters to progress further than ever before. New Company-specific loot adds extra incentive to rank up.

Pirates can now represent The Hunter’s Call as an Emissary, similar to other Trading Companies. While flying an Emissary Flag increases the value of turned-in loot, it also marks players as targets for rival crews. High-risk hunters will be rewarded nicely, but must stay alert for enemy attacks.

New Voyages, Encounters, and Features

For those seeking structured challenges, The Hunter’s Call introduces Fishing and Raid Voyages. These provide a more directed hunting experience, with various rewards tied to successful completion.

The seas are also more perilous than ever, with two new Megalodon variants, the Feared Redmaw and the Barnacled Dread, emerging from the Sea of the Damned. The Feared Redmaw sets ships ablaze, while the Barnacled Dread calls upon Ocean Crawlers to board and attack crews. Grade 5 Emissaries will have the advantage of spotting these powerful beasts on their ship’s map.

As always, a new Season brings 100 levels of Renown, with exclusive cosmetics, gold, Doubloons, and Ancient Coins up for grabs. Later in the season, new content will continue to roll out, including:

  • Hunting Spears – Throwable weapons that deal high damage to wildlife and can even pierce ships when launched from cannons.
  • Ambient Wildlife – A more vibrant world with an increased variety of passive animals, enhancing the atmosphere of the game.
  • Hostile Wild Boars – Aggressive creatures hiding treasures in their mud wallows, requiring careful combat tactics to defeat.
  • Hunting Voyages – Special assignments from The Hunter’s Call to track down Grand Boars and Megalodons.
