Ninja Theory has announced that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced will arrive on August 12 across Xbox Series X|S, PC, Game Pass, Steam, and PlayStation 5. This updated edition will be available as a free update for existing players on Xbox and PC platforms. It includes a variety of new technical features. Additionally, there are content additions and enhancements to immersion.

PlayStation 5 players will be able to purchase the game in two editions. The Standard Edition ($49.99) includes the complete base game with new upgrades. Those who already own the PS4 version of Senua’s Sacrifice will be able to upgrade to the PS5 edition for free.

Among the highlights of this release is the addition of Performance Mode, which allows gameplay at 60 FPS, excluding Xbox Series S. It introduces a new ‘Very High’ graphics preset for PC. The update also brings Steam Deck Verified status. It confirms full compatibility and optimization on Valve’s handheld device.

A new Dark Rot Mode returns from the original game as an optional challenge. In this mode, a spreading rot grows each time players fail. If it reaches Senua’s head, the save file is deleted and the journey ends permanently.

The Photo Mode has also been expanded with new tools and a dedicated Motion tab. This enables more in-depth cinematic video capture. For fans interested in the development process, a new Developer Commentary includes over four hours of behind-the-scenes insights from the cast and development team.
