Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Teams Up with Nickelodeon for Kids’ Choice Reveal

SEGA just announced a new in-game collaboration with Nickelodeon during the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The surprise reveal came with a new trailer for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, featuring SpongeBob SquarePants racing alongside Sonic and friends.

Fans got their first look at a SpongeBob-themed vehicle and a track based on Bikini Bottom. SEGA also teased future crossover content from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

This marks the start of a bigger campaign between SEGA and Nickelodeon, with more details coming soon.

Nickelodeon Content Part of Deluxe Edition Season Pass

The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Season Pass, which features the Nickelodeon content and more.

The pass doesn’t just feature SpongeBob. It also includes the recently announced Minecraft racers, tracks, and vehicles. Content from Sonic Prime is also part of the lineup, along with two more collaborations that haven’t been revealed yet.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Is Just Getting Started

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is shaping up to be one of the most crossover-heavy Sonic games yet. Between Nickelodeon, Minecraft, and Sonic Prime, the lineup is already packed. And SEGA says two more yet-to-be-announced collaborations are on the way.

The game launches September 25, 2025, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also coming at a later date.
