Splash Damage Has Cancelled It’s New Transformers Title

Transformers: Reactivate

Splash Damage has announced that they have decided to cancel its new title Transformers: Reactivate. The game was set to be an online action for up to 4 players. It was originally announced at The Game Awards back in 2022.

The studio has also announced that they will be scaling down and refocusing their efforts on other projects. It has sadly stated that staff members are also facing redundancy.

Transformers: Reactivate had been set to launch on PC and Consoles.

Splash Damage is a London-based studio that has worked on titles in the Gears of War and Halo franchises. They also partnered with Google Stadia (RIP) to launch the game Outcasters which was an extremely popular title on the Stadia platform.

In December 2020 the parent company of Splash Damage was acquired by Tencent however they continue to operate independently within the Tencent family.
