SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide Announced at THQ Nordic Showcase 2025

SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy flee from glowing green sea villains in a stormy, electrified setting in SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide is officially headed to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on November 18, 2025. Revealed during the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase, the new 3D platformer sends SpongeBob and Patrick on a ghost-filled mission across Bikini Bottom, packed with boss battles, spooky locations, and some very familiar voices.

Tag-Teaming Through Bikini Bottom

Titans of the Tide brings back the classic 3D platforming style fans know from Battle for Bikini Bottom and The Cosmic Shake. This time, you’ll swap between SpongeBob and Patrick mid-level, using their unique skills to tackle platforming challenges, defeat ghostly enemies, and explore familiar undersea locations.

Patrick now has a few new tricks, like grappling across gaps and burrowing through soft terrain. Those mechanics mix things up just enough to keep exploration fun without slowing the pace. You’ll also see returning moves like sliding and rock-rolling, now polished with some extra flair.

Boss fights include classic SpongeBob villains like Hibernation Sandy, King Neptune, and the Flying Dutchman. Locations range from Mount Bikini to Neptune’s Palace, and each stage looks packed with ghost-themed obstacles and collectibles.

The game is fully voiced by the original show cast, which really helps keep the tone light and faithful to the series. Whether you’re chasing down haunted spatulas or just laughing at Patrick’s next one-liner, it feels like a true continuation of the show’s energy.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide Launches November 18

Titans of the Tide launches November 18, 2025, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It’s been a while since SpongeBob and Patrick teamed up for something this big. Titans of the Tide looks like it’s taking everything fans liked about The Cosmic Shake and adding more boss fights, new abilities, and a goofy ghost story to tie it all together.

Having the original voice cast back helps keep the vibe right, and the mix of new and familiar locations should give longtime fans plenty to smile about. Being able to switch between SpongeBob and Patrick on the fly sounds fun, especially with Patrick’s new grappling and burrowing tricks.
