Frost Giant Studios has announced the official launch of Early Access for Stormgate, the studio’s real-time strategy (RTS) game. The game is now available for free on Steam for Windows PC and through NVIDIA’s GeForce Now cloud gaming platform. Players can experience various gameplay modes, including 1v1, 3-player Co-op Missions, and custom 2v2 team games, along with early Campaign missions.
Set in a post-apocalyptic Earth, Stormgate features a science-fantasy universe where players can command one of three factions: the Vanguard, Infernal Host, or Celestial Armada. Each faction offers unique gameplay mechanics and strategies.
Stormgate aims to make RTS gameplay more accessible with features like the “BuddyBot” to assist new players and innovations such as automated control groups. The game uses Frost Giant’s SnowPlay technology, enhancing gameplay with a 64 tick-rate server and rollback features to minimize lag.
Early Access will be a crucial phase in the game’s development, with Frost Giant inviting community feedback to shape future updates and features. The developers plan to stay in Early Access for at least a year, with regular updates and improvements based on player input.
