The Division Heartland Has Been Cancelled

Ubisoft has confirmed that they have taken the decision to cancel The Division Heartland.

The team at Red Storm Studio, who were working on Heartland will now move to support the XDefiant and Rainbow Six franchises.

Ubisoft released the following statement as part of their recent earning call in regards to the cancellation:

After careful consideration, we have made the tough call to halt development on Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, effective immediately. Our priority now is to support the talented team members at our Red Storm Entertainment studio, who will be transitioning to new projects within our company, including XDefiant and Rainbow Six.

The Division Heartland was first announced back in 2021 and was set to be a free-to-play shooter set in its title universe.

However, there were several rumours that the game’s development had not gone well, and Insider Gaming reported that the game had undergone a significant change in its design.
