Forever Entertainment has officially announced The House of the Dead 2: Remake, a reimagining of the beloved arcade classic. Developed by MegaPixel Studio, the team behind The House of the Dead Remake on Stadia in April 2022, The House of the Dead 2: Remake brings the zombie-filled adventure to modern platforms in Spring 2025.

Fans can expect updated graphics, remastered music, and faithfully recreated gameplay that retains the charm of the 1998 original.

Classic Gameplay with Modern Enhancements

The House of the Dead 2: Remake retains its original rail shooter gameplay while introducing several updates for modern gamers. You step into the roles of AMS agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart as they face off against hordes of undead in a city overrun by creatures.

Key features include improved graphics, remastered music, and the option to switch to the original soundtrack for a nostalgic experience. The game also offers co-op play, multiple endings, and branching level paths, keeping the replayability of the original intact.

The remake introduces several modes, including a Classic Campaign, a Boss Rush mode for fast-paced challenges, and a Training Mode to sharpen skills. These additions aim to enhance the overall experience while remaining faithful to the original game’s design.
