Ubisoft Launches Season 2 of Year 6 for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

Today, Ubisoft announced the release of Season 2 for Year 6 of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, introducing a fresh campaign for players. This new chapter, titled Shades of Red, will have players collaborating with Aaron Keener as they track down clues to complete new missions and challenges, offering exclusive rewards.

In the storyline, Aaron Keener is now in custody at the White House, attempting to negotiate with the Division while agents pursue the remaining members of his team, beginning with Theo Parnell. A revamped progression system includes seven sequential missions, each containing eight objectives, designed to guide players through key challenges and mission goals.

New Features in Season 2

Players can earn various rewards like experience points, Season Pass XP, progress-enhancing items, resources, and active modifiers. Completing the season will unlock a unique cosmetic item. One major update is the introduction of seasonal modifiers, offering a fresh gameplay experience through four distinct types:

  • Global Modifiers: These set the overall theme of the season, altering the core gameplay loop.
  • Active Modifiers: Acting as special abilities, they provide agents with a temporary power boost.
  • Passive Modifiers: Divided by range (short, medium, long, and multi-range), they can be paired with global modifiers for additional bonuses.
  • Hostile Modifiers: These represent how enemies adapt to agents’ new abilities, demanding continuous strategy.

Another new system, Manhunt Scouts, advances the storyline through weekly activities, allowing players to earn gear, experience, and collectibles. Completing these activities each week grants additional rewards and exclusive collectible items.
