Utomik Bids Farewell to its Subscribers as it Shuts Down

Utomik Gaming Across Devices

Utomik, a subscription-based gaming platform, has announced the immediate closure of its service. In a statement released by the company, they confirmed they can no longer fulfill the obligations required to operate the platform. This includes Utomik Cloud, which we’ve covered for years.

Subscribers have been reassured that no further action is needed on their part. All subscriptions will be automatically canceled, and users will not be charged moving forward. Additionally, the Utomik Team expressed gratitude to its community, stating, “It’s been an incredible journey, and we hope you’ve enjoyed the ride as much as we have.”

The service, known for its curated library of PC games, aimed to make gaming more accessible by offering an affordable alternative to traditional game purchases. Sadly, the signs were there: the cloud gaming part of Utomik had been offline since November 2024, and new games stopped being added to the service soon after.

Additionally, it was discovered that Utomik Development B.V. filed for bankruptcy earlier this month. We approached Utomik for comment, but did not receive a response.

Here’s the email Utomik sent to subscribers:

It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you we can no longer fulfill our obligations to operate the Utomik service. As a result, we are terminating the service, effective immediately.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please rest assured that no action is required on your part—your subscription will be canceled automatically, and no further charges will be made.

Thank you for being a part of the Utomik family. It’s been an incredible journey, and we hope you’ve enjoyed the ride as much as we have!

Warm regards,
The Utomik Team
