As announced a couple of weeks ago, Utomik signed a partnership with Atari in order to bring several of their games to the platform. Initially, we didn’t know how many, or what games Utomik would add. Let alone, if all games added to the platform would be playable via Utomik Cloud. Now, we know the first wave of Atari games, including 4 titles, with 3 being playable via the cloud.
As of today, prior Google Stadia players that enjoyed the Recharged games, can resume their gaming sessions of two of the most popular titles. Not only that, but another game is making its cloud debut! Let’s take a look at all three Atari games now live on Utomik Cloud:
Yars: Recharged
Yars: Recharged is the latest title from Adamvision Studios and SneakyBox, the team behind the Atari Recharged series, infusing elements of arcade, shoot-em up, and bullet hell into the classic’s formula.
The game requires players to remain acutely aware of visual and audio cues that hint of impending danger, and to master the rhythm of each boss as they navigate increasingly complex enemy defenses, all to an epic soundtrack by Megan McDuffee.
Asteroids: Recharged
The original space shooter warps to the modern era! Asteroids: Recharged has been reimagined for modern gameplay, with vibrant visuals, powerful new abilities, and another original soundtrack from award-winning video game composer Megan McDuffee.
Asteroids: Recharged creates a familiar, but revitalized and modern challenge to both old school and new high score chasers. And 30 unique and creative challenge levels take the space shooting game play into new territory, complete with local and global leaderboards.
PONG Quest
Customize your hero and take up the challenge in new PONG battle gameplay featuring over 50 different types of balls each with their unique abilities. Solve puzzles and gather precious loot as you uncover the secrets of the Orbs on a journey to unlock the mystery of the Spooky Door.
Play with up to 4 other players in local multiplayer mayhem battles, select your balls and perfect your own loadout as you clash with other paddles for supremacy within the PONG universe. Personally, I’ve enjoyed this game quite a lot. The gameplay is fun and the humor is there. I recommend you check it out!
More games coming soon?
Even though those are all three games playable via the cloud, Utomik also added RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack to their catalog of PC games. System requirements are pretty low, so feel free to give it a chance if you’re interested!
On another note, Utomik also added several games to their list of upcoming releases. Some notable titles are Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition, which was previously available on Google Stadia, some Urban Trial games, the new version of Kao the Kangaroo, The Last Worker, and many more.
