Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7 Launches April 23 With Season Finale, Mockingbird Agents, and New Events

In a realm reminiscent of Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7, two fantasy figures strike dynamic poses: one with flowing white hair clutching a glowing crystal, and the other—with vibrant pink locks—skillfully wielding magic ropes in an enchanting spectacle.

HoYoverse is launching Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7, titled Bury Your Tears with the Past, on April 23 across all platforms. This update marks the finale of Season 1, bringing the Sacrifice crisis storyline to a close while introducing new agents and activities for Proxies to explore.

The main story continues as Vivian steps into the spotlight, teaming up with Proxies to uncover the truth behind Hugo’s fall and the Exaltists’ conspiracy. Tensions rise in New Eridu, and a new special investigator arrives to help take on the looming threat.

Alongside the main story, Version 1.7 adds new S-Rank Agents, rerun banners, and limited-time in-game events. Whether you’re chasing high scores in Bangboo Bash or arranging flowers in Quality Time mode, there’s something new for every type of Proxy.

Vivian and Mockingbird Take Centre Stage in Season Finale

Version 1.7 closes out Zenless Zone Zero’s first season with the climax of the Sacrifice crisis. Proxies will work with Vivian to search for the Sacrifice Core, infiltrate enemy territory, and uncover her hidden past. The conflict with the Exaltists escalates, revealing long-held secrets tied to Hugo’s fall.

Vivian debuts as a new S-Rank Ether Anomaly Agent. She uses a parasol and rapier to switch between ground and aerial attacks. Her Basic Attack, Featherbloom, boosts teamwide Corruption damage when synced with EX Special Attacks.

Amidst the vibrant glow of neon signs, a character with long purple hair and an umbrella stands confidently on the bustling city street, embodying the enigmatic allure of Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7.

Hugo also joins the fight as a S-Rank Ice Attack Agent. He fights with a suitcase that transforms into a scythe. His Totalize effect boosts damage when attacking stunned enemies, making him a strong pick for stun-based teams.

An anime character with blond hair in a suit strides through a neon-lit street reminiscent of Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7, with various shop signs glowing vibrantly in the background.

Robin, a Bangboo companion, rounds out the lineup with randomized card attacks that add chaotic utility to battles. Two previously featured Agents—Jane and Lighter—also return on rerun banners this version.

Floral Design, Ranked Challenges, and New Rewards

Beyond the main story, Version 1.7 offers a mix of creative and competitive in-game events. In Say It With Flowers, you’ll manage a flower shop and create custom arrangements for clients. Completing design requests unlocks a new permanent gameplay feature in Quality Time mode, along with the A-Rank Bangboo Overtimeboo.

For those craving action, Bangboo Bash returns with a new ranked mode. You’ll compete in obstacle courses and survival rounds to climb the leaderboard. Higher ranks unlock exclusive event titles, Polychromes, and other limited-time rewards.

This version balances serious narrative stakes with lighter side content, giving Proxies time to relax or test their skills between missions.

Amidst a dynamic urban scene with dramatic lighting, an anime character from Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7 deftly wields a weapon, surrounded by shimmering blue crystals.

Version 1.7 brings the story of Season 1 to its end, with major revelations, intense missions, and standout new agents. Vivian and Hugo offer fresh team options, while returning Agents and Bangboo companions give you more ways to customize your squad.
