HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2, titled Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night, will launch on September 4 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC, iOS, and Android. This marks an exciting update for Zenless Zone Zero 2.2 fans looking forward to new content.
This update introduces the Obol Squad, an elite Defense Force unit entering the fight after the defeat of the Exaltists’ conspiracy. In Zenless Zone Zero 2.2, players will meet new agents Seed and Orphie & Magus as the squad investigates Waifei Peninsula, uncovering long-buried truths while battling lingering threats.
New Characters and Events
Seed, an S-Rank Electric Attack Agent, partners with the Seed Sr. mecha to deliver powerful firepower and sustained team damage. Orphie & Magus, an S-Rank Fire Attack Agent and Obol Squad captain, specializes in coordinated combat and teamwide attack boosts. Zenless Zone Zero 2.2 also adds Mercury, an S-Rank Bangboo support unit, while Trigger and Evelyn make their return. Soldier 0 – Anby is teased for future updates following her ongoing training.
Version 2.2 also includes new events. Band of Brave Bangboo introduces a tower defense mode with environmental mechanics, rewarding players with the A-Rank Excaliboo companion. Rhythm Rave offers a rhythm-based challenge with classic tracks and in-game rewards in Zenless Zone Zero Update 2.2.
Additional optimizations allow players to select Belle or Wise before companion events, expanding customization options for Proxies.
