Microsoft expanded the availability of Xbox Cloud Gaming to additional Fire TV devices. Just over a month after confirming its arrival on 2024 Fire Sticks, the company has now made the service accessible on the first-generation 4K Fire TV Stick and the third-generation Fire TV Cube.
This expansion means even more gamers can enjoy a wide range of Xbox Game Pass titles directly from their compatible Fire TV devices. With Xbox Cloud Gaming, users can stream games to their TVs without needing a dedicated Xbox console.
To access Xbox Cloud Gaming on these devices, users will need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. This subscription provides access to a vast library of games, including first-party Xbox titles, as well as games from third-party developers. And then download the app to your device.
The addition of more Fire TV devices to the Xbox Cloud Gaming platform further solidifies Microsoft’s commitment to bringing gaming to a wider audience. As the service continues to grow, it’s likely that even more devices will be supported in the future. While we eagerly await an official Xbox app for the Chromecast with Google TV, the recent expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming to Fire TV devices offers a promising sign. This achievement, which even Stadia couldn’t accomplish, suggests that Microsoft is actively working to bring Xbox gaming to a wider range of streaming devices.
