People Can Fly has announced their collaboration with The Coalition. They will co-develop Gears of War: E-Day, the next mainline entry in the iconic series. It was announced at the Xbox Summer Showcase last June.
The studio, with deep roots in the franchise, will return to Gears of War. They previously developed Gears of War: Judgment and contributed to Gears of War 1-3.

In the announcement on the People Can Fly website, Sebastian Wojciechowski, CEO of People Can Fly siad “We are honored to return to the Gears of War franchise, a series that holds a special place in our studio’s history. This partnership is a privilege, and it provides an exciting opportunity to build upon the intense action and rich storytelling that Gears of War fans have come to love.”
Gears of War: E-Day marks the studio’s return to the franchise. Fans of the series can expect the signature visceral action that defines the franchise. The game will focus on authentic gameplay elements that made Gears of War popular.

While we can’t reveal too much just yet, we’re excited for the day when we can share the many exciting things we’ve been working on,” said Guillaume Barry, Development Director at People Can Fly.
