Amazon has relaunched and reimagined its cloud gaming service, Amazon Luna, with a wider selection of games now included at no additional cost for Prime members. The redesigned service aims to make it easier for users of all experience levels to play high-quality titles on devices they already own. This eliminates the need for dedicated gaming consoles or equipment. The service is accessible via Fire TV and tablets, smartphones, web browsers, and select smart televisions from LG and Samsung.
The revamped Amazon Luna offers over 50 games for Prime members, with a catalogue that includes recent hits, popular classics, and indie gems. Standout titles available through Prime include Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and TopSpin 2K25. However, the library will evolve over time.
Games for Everyone
One of the most notable new features is GameNight. It is a collection of more than 25 local multiplayer games designed for playing with family and friends in the living room. Jeff Gattis, general manager of Amazon Luna, emphasized that GameNight takes the concept of easy access even further. It allows anyone with a smartphone to jump in and play, regardless of their gaming abilities.
GameNight features exclusive titles such as Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg, an AI-powered, voice-driven improv game, in addition to living-room adapted versions of games like Angry Birds Flock Party, Draw & Guess, The Jackbox Party Pack 9, Ticket to Ride, and Clue. To play GameNight titles, simply scan a QR code on the TV to turn a smartphone into the game controller.
For those who want an even larger game library, the service offers the Luna Premium subscription option. It replaces the previous Luna+ subscription. Luna Premium includes additional titles like EA SPORTS FC 25, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Batman: Arkham Knight.
Currently, the Amazon Luna cloud gaming service is available in the U.S., UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and other European countries. Hopefully it’ll be available in more countries soon, AI or not.
