Antstream Arcade, the retro gaming cloud service, has confirmed in an interview with Game Rant that they have licensed at least fifty original PlayStation games. These games could be coming to Antstream Arcade very soon. This step positions Antstream Arcade as a major player in the retro gaming market, emphasizing their dedication to preserving video game history.
Antstream Arcade Has Licensed A Host of PlayStation Titles
As of now there are a total of around 10 PlayStation games on Antstream that include Worms, Worms Armageddon, Hogs Of War, and Glover. In this interview, we have a confirmation that there are at least fifty more PlayStation games that have been licensed by Antstream. However, they’ve not all been released due to trying to balance all the platforms that Antstream offers games from (which is eighteen platforms). The quote from Antstream Studio Head Mike Rouse reads:
“We actually have a ton of PlayStation games already licensed. So what we do look at is what games release in what week, and we try to balance it across the different types of platforms we have, the different games we have. and the needs that people have. So if the community is calling out for more PlayStation, we’ll look at doing more PlayStation stuff. We’ve probably got another 50 already licensed PlayStation games, and there’s more being licensed all the time.
Mike Rouse also expressed interest in bringing games from the PlayStation 2, OG Xbox and Nintendo Game Cube to Antstream Arcade in the future. You can check out the full interview on Game Rant here.
