The April 2025 PlayStation Store charts are here, spotlighting the most downloaded PS5 games across the US and Canada. From remastered classics like Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion to new names like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the list shows a wide mix of interests. One surprise? Forza Horizon 5, an Xbox Game Studios title, that was released on PS5 in April cracks the top three in its first month. It’s a reminder of how platform lines have started to blur—even on PlayStation.
But alongside downloads, there’s another angle worth considering—how many of these games support PlayStation Cloud Streaming? As more gamers look for ways to play without waiting on large installs, the ability to stream instantly becomes more important. But only a handful of the top-charting titles—like Oblivion Remastered, GTA V, and Mortal Kombat 1—support PlayStation Cloud Gaming. Others, including big names like NBA 2K25, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and Clair Obscur, remain download-only.
Here’s a breakdown of April’s top PS5 downloads—and whether you can stream them.
What Topped the PS5 PlayStation Store in April 2025—and What You Can Stream
In the US and Canada, the April PS5 download rankings were led by Oblivion Remastered, Minecraft, and the unexpected—or maybe expected—appearance of Forza Horizon 5, an Xbox Game Studios title. Sports games held a strong presence, with four EA titles landing in the top 20. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 made an impressive debut, while Split Fiction held on for a second month of strong interest.
Here’s a full breakdown of the US/Canada chart—alongside which games support streaming on PlayStation Cloud.

Popular Downloads Doesn’t Always Mean Playable in the Cloud
Looking at April’s top PS5 downloads, one thing is clear: demand spans genres. From fantasy RPGs and open-world racing to licensed sports titles, the chart reflects a wide range of preferences. EA’s lineup held strong with NBA 2K25, College Football 25, Madden NFL 25, and PGA TOUR 2K25 all appearing—though none of them support PlayStation Cloud Streaming.
Only eight out of the top twenty titles are currently streamable on PlayStation Cloud: Oblivion Remastered, Grand Theft Auto V, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Days Gone Remastered, WWE 2K25, Mortal Kombat 1, PGA TOUR 2K25, and Hogwarts Legacy. Notably, Minecraft, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6—all long-running favourites—remain download-only.
As Sony continues to build out its streaming library, this month’s chart shows that there’s still a gap between what people are downloading and what they can stream. Whether that gap narrows in future months is something we’ll be watching closely.
