Astro Bot’s Vicious Void Galaxy Update Adds Five New Levels, Special Bots, and Time Attack Mode

A robot with a virtual headset jumps over platforms in an icy landscape with a spiky yellow creature nearby.

At a recent PlayStation Tournaments XP event, a new speedrunning level was shown, sparking speculation about upcoming Astro Bot content. Today, Team Asobi confirmed new content rolling out, including five levels, Special Bots to rescue, and a new Time Attack mode.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Vicious Void Galaxy update, including the release schedule, new features, and gameplay improvements.

Five New Levels Arrive Weekly

The update adds the Vicious Void Galaxy, featuring five new levels with unique platforming challenges. Unlike the previous Winter Wonder update, which focused on holiday fun, these stages will test your precision and timing.

Here’s the full release schedule:

  • February 13 – Tick-Tock Shock
  • February 20 – Thrust or Bust
  • February 27 – Cock-A-Doodle-Doom
  • March 6 – Hard to Bear
  • March 13 – Armored Hardcore

Each level unlocks every Thursday at 6:00 AM PT, 2:00 PM GMT, and 10:00 PM JST.

To access this new content, you must complete the main game. Once unlocked, the levels will be permanently available.

Special Bots and Time Attack Mode

Each level introduces a new Special Bot to rescue, adding another collectible to your adventure. After saving them, you can replay the stage in Time Attack mode, a brand-new feature with online leaderboards.

Time Attack mode tracks your best completion times, letting you compete with friends and global players. This addition offers new replay incentives, encouraging you to refine your platforming skills.

PS5 Pro Enhancements

Alongside the new content, Astro Bot receives performance improvements for PS5 Pro users. The game now runs at higher resolutions while maintaining 60 FPS, delivering smoother gameplay with sharper visuals.

A Free Update for All Players

Like previous updates, the Vicious Void Galaxy expansion is completely free. Team Asobi has designed these levels as a gift to the community, thanking players for their continued support.

With five challenging levels, new rescue missions, and a competitive Time Attack mode, this update adds more challenges for returning players.
