Xbox just announced the release date for Avowed, the highly anticipated fantasy RPG from Obsidian Entertainment. The game is set to launch on February 18, 2025. You can now pre-order on Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on Windows, Battle.net, and Steam.
Avowed will also be available on Game Pass on day one and playable on Xbox Cloud Gaming. Let’s take a look at everything announced today!
Choose Your Edition
Avowed comes in three editions: Digital Standard, Digital Premium, and Premium Edition SteelBook. Here’s what each edition includes:
Digital Standard Edition: $69.99 USD
Includes the full game, with access on release day through Game Pass.
Digital Premium Edition: $89.99 USD
Includes the base game, up to five days of early access, two premium skin packs, and the Digital Artbook & Soundtrack.
Premium Edition SteelBook: $94.99 USD
Comes with a digital game code, five days of early access, two skin packs, the Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, and a collectible SteelBook case.
If you start playing with the Standard Edition, you can later upgrade to the Premium Edition for $24.99 USD to unlock all bonus content and early access. I don’t know about you, but the Premium Edition SteelBook is looking mighty fine to me!
Early Access and Exclusive Content
Pre-ordering the Avowed Premium Edition or Premium Edition SteelBook unlocks special bonuses. You get five days of early access, letting you start playing as early as February 13.
These editions also include two exclusive skin packs: the Eora Collection Set and the Obsidian Collection Set. Each pack features five skins, with one for your character and four for companions. The Eora Collection Set takes inspiration from Pillars of Eternity, while the Obsidian Collection Set offers sleek, dark outfits with a unique style.
In addition, the Premium Editions provide access to the Avowed Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the game’s design and music.

Avowed includes various accessibility options, allowing you to adjust settings. You can choose a third-person view, adjust text sizes, and remap controls.
