Antstream Arcade has over 1400+ games which means there are more than a few gems on this service, so we’re going to go over what I think are some of the best games on Antstream Arcade, so let’s go over them.
Demons Of Asteborg (Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis)
The first game I want to discuss is the indie game Demons Of Asteborg, a new Castlevania-inspired game where you play as Gareth and must stop Zadimus from destroying Asteborg. This game’s addition to Antstream is one of the most awesome editions to Antstream as the game is genuinely fun and has a beautiful 16-bit art style. You can check out Demons Of Asteborg on Antstream Arcade now.
Boulders Dash (Commodore 64/C64)
The next game is a fun puzzle game where you play as the character of Rockford and must dig your way through sixteen different caverns in this exciting puzzle game. Boulder Dash is a fun game and like many games from the early home computer revolution this game is available to play now on Antstream Arcade, but be careful where you dig!
Space Invaders (Arcade)
Now Space Invaders needs no introduction, it is one of the most well-known video games of all time and is definitely one of the best games on Antstream Arcade. Space Invaders is an arcade game where you must shoot alien creatures and stop them from hitting your base, which will give you a “Game Over” screen. What’s especially awesome about Space Invaders on Antstream Arcade is that it is the arcade version of this game.
Pac-Man (Arcade)
Another great game which is an excellent game on Antstream is the beloved arcade classic game Pac-Man. Now Pac-Man requires no introduction and is an arcade game where you play as a yellow puck-looking character who is chased by four ghosts, Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde who will try to kill you unless you eat a power pellet. Pac-Man is a must-play game for all gamers, whether they be retro fanatics or fans of modern indie games.
Asteroids (Arcade)
Now, this game is an oldie but a goodie, especially for those who love going for the high score. Asteroids is a classic arcade game from 1979 and it is a simple game where you fly a spaceship and have to shoot Asteroids that come flying towards you. This game is one of the first video games ever made so you need to try it just to see how far gaming has come since the late 1970s.
BurgerTime (Arcade)
The next game we have on our list is the arcade game BurgerTime, this game is a fun arcade experience where you play as a chef and have to complete burgers on a stage similar to the ones found in Donkey Kong. BurgerTime is a great game and will probably be the game that makes you very hungry.
Bubble Bobble (Arcade)
The next game on this list is Bubble Bobble the platforming game where you play as a cute little dinosaur. This is one of the most iconic 80s arcade games and once again, like most of the other arcade games that have home console ports, this version of Bubble Bobble is the arcade original. If you feel like experimenting with a platforming game about dinosaurs and bubbles, then you can check out Bubble Bobble on Antstream Arcade now.
Dino Land (Sega Mega Drive/ Sega Genesis)
This game is a little more obscure, but it’s one that is pretty awesome. Dino Land is a dinosaur-themed pinball game that was originally developed and published by the now-defunct Japanese publisher Telenet Japan. What’s also awesome is Dino Land is a game that was never officially released in Europe during the Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis console lifespan.
Dig Dug (Arcade)
The next game is another Namco arcade game, which I wanted to include due to its fun pick-up and play nature. Dig Dug is an arcade game from 1982 where you need to dig tunnels and use your air pump to explode your enemies, this game is fun by nature and encourages gamers to go for the highest score they ca. You can check it out now on Antstream.
Flea (Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis)
The last game I want to recommend is the platforming game, Flea. In Flea you play as, well, a flea who keeps bouncing up and down constantly as you guide your flea to the next stage and collect vials of blood as you progress. What’s awesome about this game is the developer behind it LowTek Games spoke about how the design of Flea was to target the game at people with ADHD, which I wholeheartedly love the idea of making games designed for those of us with disabilities who get very little representation.
