Better xCloud Adds Support for Even Higher Bitrates (for Remote Play, too!)

Better xCloud is a community (really one guy – @redphx.com) effort to make Xcloud… well… better! You can use the service on various Android devices (via the .apk) as well as the web on a number of devices.

Today, Better xCloud announced that the higher bitrates that it added to Better xCloud for cloud gaming are now ready for Remote play, too!

Now you can play Remote Play at higher bitrate (>15Mbps) with Better xCloud 6.4.3Downside: you can't stream Xbox 360 games and apps unlike the 1080p option (only Xbox can fix this)Install Better xCloud on all platforms: better-xcloud.github.io

These bitrates make a big difference in visual fidelity. Xbox Cloud Gaming has long been known for having fairly low bitrates (often below 5mbps) which leads to visual artifacting at times. At the end of last year, higher bitrate support was announced as coming. But, Xbox doesn’t officially unleash these in all circumstances. The new Better xCloud setting allows you to pin bitrates above 15 mbps.
