Last week, we covered how Blacknut was chosen for the Shochiku Game Accelerator 2025 ahead of Tokyo Game Show. At the time, the news was focused on Blacknut’s selection and the opportunities that came with it. Now, Blacknut has shared new details about what it will bring to the program. These include confirmed partners and an upcoming demo project.

Partnerships with Shochiku and LG

Blacknut confirmed that it is working closely with Shochiku Co., Ltd. and LG Electronics as part of its Accelerator participation. Together, they are preparing a showcase that highlights the role of Smart TVs in cloud gaming.

For Tokyo Game Show 2025, that showcase will include Shochiku’s newest unreleased title adapted for the cloud. The game is being fully integrated into the Blacknut platform and optimized to work with the LG Magic Remote. This move demonstrates the company’s ability to bring games directly to TVs without the need for extra hardware, controllers, or complex setup.

Cloud Gaming Without Extra Work for Publishers

Blacknut framed this project as more than just a demo. For publishers, it serves as a proof point of how games can be brought to the cloud seamlessly. By showing Shochiku’s new title running through its platform, Blacknut is emphasizing that distribution can expand without requiring additional work from publishers, since Blacknut manages the integration and makes games instantly accessible across devices.

Demo Day at TGS 2025 Set to Highlight Blacknut’s Tech

Blacknut says this collaboration highlights its core mission: making gaming easy, convenient, and accessible for all. It also reinforces the company’s focus on transforming the living room into a shared entertainment hub through Smart TV gameplay.

The showcase will take place during Demo Day at Tokyo Game Show on September 24, 2025, where Blacknut will present alongside Shochiku and its other Accelerator partner. It’s another step in Blacknut’s push to expand globally while demonstrating how cloud gaming can complement both developers and consumers.

With these new details, Blacknut’s participation in the Shochiku Game Accelerator moves beyond recognition and into action, giving us a clear preview of how the company plans to show its strengths on the TGS stage later this month.
