Both Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 & 2 have launched for both the PS4 and PS5. The games are straight-up ports from the original PS3 versions, so expect perhaps a new layer of polish but not a graphical leap!
Of course, it has been a well-known fact that the games were not available availble to play on either of those PlayStation consoles due to them not supporting native backwards compatibility for PS3 games. Not an issue that XBOX gamers had, however.
Now, the strange thing, when the games first went live on the PlayStation Store, it stated that they would be cloud playable on the PlayStation Portal, but that tag has since disappeared.
It will certainly be interesting to see if that tag returns and the games do in fact become playable via PlayStation Cloud Gaming. They both support remote play.
If you are a PlayStation Plus member, you can get both games at a tasty 50% discount. You can also purchase the season pass for each game at the same discount level.
If you have never played these games before, then I do highly recomend the. Both have excellent campaigns, and the original Black Ops multiplayer is one of my personal favourites.
