Xbox is continuing to expand where cloud gaming lives. At CES 2026, Xbox announced a new partnership that will bring the Xbox app to select Hisense smart TVs and sets running V homeOS, with support rolling out in 2026.
Once available, the Xbox app will let Xbox Game Pass subscribers stream games directly on supported TVs using Xbox Cloud Gaming. All you’ll need is a compatible TV and a controller.
Playing Xbox Games Directly on Hisense TVs
This continues Xbox’s steady expansion of cloud gaming onto smart TVs. With the Xbox app coming to select Hisense models, Game Pass subscribers will be able to stream games directly on supported sets without needing a console connected.
On supported TVs, the Xbox app will support a mix of new and upcoming titles, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Xbox has also confirmed that cloud streaming will extend beyond Game Pass to include select games you already own.
Rather than focusing on hardware specs, TV integrations like this are about access. Each additional smart TV platform reduces the need for dedicated hardware in every room and makes cloud gaming easier to drop into where it makes sense.
Another Step in Xbox’s Cloud-First Strategy
Bringing the Xbox app to Hisense and V homeOS-powered TVs fits alongside Xbox’s existing cloud integrations on platforms like Samsung smart TVs. The approach remains consistent: make cloud gaming available on screens people already own, instead of asking them to buy another console.
For households with multiple TVs, this kind of expansion continues to position cloud gaming as a practical alternative to a second console setup.
More Details Still to Come
Microsoft hasn’t shared a full list of supported TV models, regional rollout plans, or whether features like resolution targets and controller support will vary by hardware. More details about the Xbox Cloud Gaming experience on Hisense TVs are expected later in 2026.
For now, the announcement reinforces where Xbox is focusing its cloud efforts: more screens, fewer boxes, and broader access across the living room.
