Charting in the Clouds: Canada’s Top-Selling Games of June 2025

A graph with an upward trend, a prominent red maple leaf, and a red game controller amidst clouds, symbolizes Canada’s top-selling games of May 2025.

Welcome back to the Canadian edition of Charting in the Clouds, our monthly look at Canada’s top-selling video games. With fresh data from the Entertainment Software Association of Canada (ESA) and Circana, we’ve got a clear snapshot of what Canadians picked up in June.

June brought a mix of returning favourites, notable new entries, and the first major sales shakeup since the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. Elden Ring: Nightreign held on to the top spot for a second month, while Stellar Blade and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach made their chart debuts. Mario Kart World entered the rankings as Nintendo’s first Nintendo Switch 2-era exclusive, and Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma gave fans of the series something new to dig into.

As with previous months, it’s worth noting that Mario Kart World’s digital sales on Nintendo platforms were not included in the data. That means its actual placement could be higher than what’s shown.

We’ve also included cloud gaming availability again this month. Many of June’s top titles can be streamed through platforms like GeForce NOW, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Amazon Luna, and Boosteroid. If you missed it, check out Canada’s Top-Selling Games of May 2025 to see what changed.

Mario Kart World made a strong showing at number five as the first Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive title, even without its digital sales included.

Microsoft continued to hold ground with Forza Horizon 5 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 securing top-six positions. Split Fiction and F1 25 maintained their top-ten streak, while Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma offered a fresh entry for fans of life sims and action-RPGs. EA Sports FC 25 rounded out the list, staying steady despite newer competition.

With new hardware on the market and multiplatform titles gaining fresh legs, June highlighted just how fast momentum can shift.

June 2025 Wrap-Up and a Look Ahead

June reflected a shift in the Canadian gaming landscape. With the Nintendo Switch 2 officially launched, new exclusives like Mario Kart World started making waves, even with incomplete digital sales data. At the same time, multiplatform titles continued to thrive, with Stellar Blade’s PC release and the staying power of Elden Ring: Nightreign showing how staggered releases and strong word-of-mouth can keep older titles in the spotlight.

We’ll be back next month to break down Canada’s top-selling games for July 2025. With more Nintendo Switch 2 games rolling out and the summer gaming season in full swing, we’re keeping a close eye on what rises, what fades, and what surprises sneak into the top ten.
