No More Robots has lifted the lid on Descenders Next, the follow-up title to their downhill biking hit, Descenders – a game which has seen over 30 million players since it launched in 2018.
Descenders Next aims to raise the franchise to a whole new level by introducing extreme sports. When the game first launches in 2025 it will feature ‘board’ sports as the main focus, in particular snowboarding and mountain boarding. As time goes on, more extreme sports will be added to the game.
This is not to say that Descenders Next will be lacking in content; it will actually be packed with content at launch, such as online multiplayer, a plethora of tricks, and multiple biomes to explore and master. Rider customization will also be a big part of the game.
As it was with the original Descenders, Descenders Next will feature procedurally generated mountain peaks and pistes, which will chain together into various parks and vistas.
Descenders Next has been confirmed as coming in 2025 to both PC and Game Pass.
