Embracer Group has big plans for FY 2025. According to its latest year-end report, Embracer’s FY 2025 game slate includes 76 titles scheduled for release by March 2026. That includes everything from brand-new IPs to sequels, remakes, and early access titles. The lineup covers a wide range of genres, with multiple releases from THQ Nordic, PLAION, Tripwire Interactive, and other internal labels.
Two of those titles are confirmed as AAA releases. Killing Floor 3 is launching on July 24, and Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is scheduled for early 2026. A third AAA game that was previously expected this year has been delayed to the following fiscal period.
The report also highlights a few standout releases from earlier this year, including Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which helped drive growth in Embracer’s PC and console segment. That game will continue to receive new content over the coming months.
Here’s a closer look at what’s coming and what stood out in the latest report.
Two Confirmed AAA Games for FY 2025
Embracer’s report confirms that two AAA games are part of its FY 2025 lineup. The first is Killing Floor 3, which now has a release date set for July 24. Developed and published internally by Tripwire Interactive, the game was delayed from the previous fiscal year. Embracer says the extra time has been used to address community feedback.
The second AAA title is Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. It is now planned for early 2026, still within FY 2025. The game is being developed by Skydance Games and published by PLAION. According to the report, the team is led by Amy Hennig, known for her work on the Uncharted series. The game features Captain America, Azzuri, Gabriel Jones, and Nanali in a narrative-driven adventure set in occupied Paris.
Both games are expected to be key releases during the fiscal year. Embracer also noted that a third AAA game originally scheduled for this period will need more development time and is now expected in FY 2026.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Surpasses 3 Million Sales
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II played a major role in Embracer’s Q4 performance. Released in February, the game has already sold over 3 million copies. Embracer says it received a highly positive response from both critics and players, exceeding the company’s expectations.
The game was developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver under PLAION. Since launch, it has received multiple free updates and new features. Official modding support is now available, and Embracer has laid out a roadmap that includes three premium story expansions over the next year.
The first DLC, titled Brushes With Death, was released during the quarter. Embracer reports strong results from both standalone purchases and Expansion Pass owners. The team expects continued engagement as more content rolls out.
Upcoming Highlights From the 76-Game Slate
Embracer has 76 games scheduled for release in FY 2025. The lineup includes a mix of new IPs, sequels, remakes, and console debuts. Several notable titles are listed in the report.
Gothic 1 Remake is on the slate from THQ Nordic, alongside REANIMAL, Wreckreation, Wreckfest 2, and The Eternal Life of Goldman. Tripwire is preparing NORSE: Oath of Blood, while Deep Silver and PLAION are set to release Metal Eden. A new SpongeBob SquarePants game is also expected.
Ghost Ship Publishing has multiple projects planned, including Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core and DarkSwarm. Coffee Stain Publishing will release As We Descend in early access, while Box Dragon handles development.
The full slate spans PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch platforms. Some games are marked for early access, with additional releases planned after community feedback is gathered.
Crystal Dynamics Signs Deal for One of Its Biggest IPs
The report notes that Crystal Dynamics has signed an agreement with an external partner involving one of its largest IPs. No title was named, but the studio is now expanding its project portfolio through both new and existing partnerships.
Crystal Dynamics is also continuing work on Perfect Dark with Xbox, in collaboration with The Initiative. The company is increasing internal development across Embracer’s network to support its ongoing and upcoming projects.
Retro Comebacks and Early Access Updates
Embracer’s release list includes several projects built around classic franchises. Limited Run Games is preparing new editions of Gex Trilogy, Fear Effect 1 and 2, Fighting Force Collection, and Tomba 2. These titles are planned for platforms including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch.
Early access is also a key part of Embracer’s release strategy this year. Wreckfest 2 and Hyper Light Breaker both launched in early access during the quarter, with development continuing based on community feedback. Full releases are expected across more platforms later in the fiscal year.
Coffee Stain Publishing is planning to release As We Descend in early access as well. Embracer notes that early access is helping teams gather feedback, refine gameplay, and build stronger launches across the board.
Long-Term Outlook: AAA Roadmap Through FY 2028
Beyond this fiscal year, Embracer has a larger roadmap in place for high-budget releases. According to the report, nine additional AAA games are scheduled for FY 2026/27 and FY 2027/28. These games are in addition to any AAA games that might be financed by external partners.
The report notes that some delays are possible, but overall, Embracer expects an increase in release cadence. Over the past five years, the company averaged just over one AAA release per year. That pace is now expected to rise as more projects move into later stages of development.
One AAA game that was originally planned for FY 2025 has already been pushed to FY 2026/27 to allow for more development time. While Embracer didn’t name the delayed game, it said it expects a financial performance similar to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Embracer Bets Big on Its Game Lineup
Embracer Group’s FY 2025 is packed with activity on the games front. With 76 games scheduled for release, two AAA launches confirmed, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II already crossing three million sales, the company has put games back at the centre of its roadmap.
The shift comes after a year of major changes, including divestments and restructuring. The report shows that Embracer is now focused on development, partnerships, and scaling up game releases across its many internal labels. The deal involving Crystal Dynamics and one of its largest IPs points to more collaboration ahead, while retro revivals and early access projects continue to play a role.
Looking further out, Embracer has nine more AAA games on the way through FY 2028. One planned for this year has already been delayed, but the company expects its release cadence to increase moving forward. Embracer didn’t name the delayed game but said it expects a financial performance similar to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
It’s been interesting watching how Embracer has shifted over the past couple of years. Between the studio closures, the spin-offs, and now this massive release plan, it feels like the company is finally settling into a more focused direction. Personally, I’m curious to see how Killing Floor 3 turns out after the delay and whether Marvel 1943 can live up to the names behind it. With so many games coming, I just hope we get a few surprises along the way.
