Fortnite Now Playable on Amazon Luna

Fortnite on Amazon Luna

We recently reported rumors that Fornite was heading to Amazon Luna. Today we’ve got great news for Luna fans – we can confirm that Fortnite is now playable (for free to Prime subscribers!) on Amazon Luna, a cloud gaming service that allows users to play games without having to download or install them. The game is available on a variety of devices, including Fire TVs, PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.

How to play on Amazon Luna

To play Fortnite on Amazon Luna, users will need to have either a Luna+ subscription, which costs $10 per month or to be a paying Amazon Prime member. Once they have a subscription, gamers can simply launch the Luna app on their device and select Fortnite from the library. The game will stream directly to their device, so they don’t need to worry about having a powerful gaming PC or console.

This works similar to how Fortnite works with Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce NOW, where the titles is also available via the cloud.

With Luna, you have the benefits of playing on a variety of devices, including TVs, PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. You don’t need to download or install the latest updates. You are currently restricted to 1080p but using Amazon Luna does give you the option to use Keyboard and Mouse (which GeForce NOW does but Xcloud currently does not).

To play, you link your Epic account with Amazon Luna; so you should be able to earn Epic achievements similar to how the Luna Ubisoft channel links with Ubisoft connect and allows you to view your Ubisoft friends lists and earn Ubisoft achievements..

What is Fortnite?

Just in case you have been living under a rock for the past 6 years. Fortnite is a popular battle royale game that was release in June 2017. It pits players against each other in a last-man-standing deathmatch. The game is free to play, but players can purchase in-game items, such as skins and weapons.

The addition of Fortnite to Amazon Luna is a major coup for the cloud gaming service. Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the world, and its availability on Luna will likely attract new subscribers – or at least new Luna users who can access the game for free with a Prime subscription. Luna is still in its early stages, but it has the potential to be a major player in the cloud gaming market.

If you’re a fan of Fortnite, then you should definitely check out Amazon Luna. It’s a great way to play the game without having to worry about hardware requirements or downloads.
