Alright cloud gaming aficionados, listen up! GeForce NOW has been killing it lately. Xbox Game Pass sync, we’re looking at you with heart eyes. But, we’ve got a wishlist of GeForce NOW must-have features that would turn this cloud gaming powerhouse into the stuff of legends. NVIDIA, hope you’re ready for some free million-dollar ideas, because we’re going to help GeForce NOW level up!
1. Stream to All the Things (Yes, Even Your Toaster)
GeForce NOW already lets us game on various devices, but why stop there? We’re dreaming big:
- Native Smart TV apps for all major brands. Because gaming on a 65-inch screen is living the dream.
- Support for every streaming stick known to mankind. Roku, Apple TV, that weird off-brand one you got as a gift – all of ’em!
And hey, if they get it running on smart home devices, we wouldn’t complain. “Alexa, farm some loot while I’m at work” – now that’s the future!
2. Built-in Twitch and YouTube Streaming
Stadia had direct to YouTube streaming. Boosteroid has that support now as well. It means your game stream goes straight from the cloud server you are playing on to these video services. You don’t have to have OBS or the like setup at your home. In fact, you don’t need to upload any video over your home’s network at all.
Amazon Luna has taken this feature one step further. Not only can you stream from Luna’s servers directly to Twitch. But, you can add yourself to the stream using the camera on your phone!
We’d love for GeForce NOW to add built-in Twitch and YouTube streaming. Go from “just one more turn” to “surprise, I’m a content creator now!” in seconds!
3. Login So Smooth It’s Like Butter on a Hot GPU
Nothing ruins the experience of kicking back on your couch to launch a game and being met with a tiny Steam login dialogue. NVIDIA’s made great strides with Xbox Login and Game Pass syncing, but let’s push it to ludicrous speed:
- A universal login system that works across all supported services. We want one (key-)ring to rule them all!
- Biometric logins on all supported devices. Face ID, fingerprints, retina scans – soon we’ll be logging in with our DNA.
Imagine a world where “forgot password” is a phrase only found in history books. It’s not just a dream; it’s the cloud gaming utopia.
4. Couch-Multiplayer for the Masses
Cloud gaming should bring us together, no matter if you’re on a PC, a phone, or gaming on your smart fridge (we don’t judge). We’re begging for “virtual couch” co-op (aka Luna couch) that lets you play “local multiplayer” games over the internet. Each person is connected to the same server and same stream with a controller in different locations around the world. This is something that is only possible via the magic of cloud gaming and we want.
Let’s make cloud gaming hangouts so good they’ll replace family game night.
5. Performance Settings to Make Your Eyes Weep with Joy
Whether you’re rocking a quantum computer or a potato with wires, we all deserve options:
Device-specific optimizations – Per-game, per-device profiles that remember your preferences better than you do. When you stop playing a game on your NVIDIA Shield and move over to your phone and then to your desktop, GeForce NOW should remember abd change to the optimal service and game settings for each device.
6. Tags So Specific They’ll Read Your Mind
Sure, GeForce NOW has genres, but we’re living in 2024 people! We need tags that’ll make librarians weep with joy:
- Ultra-specific tags like “Choices Matter” for those who want their decisions to have more impact than a politician’s promises.
- “Rogue-like-like-like” for games that are kinda like rogue-likes, but not really, but sort of.
- “Halfway Between Turn-Based and Real-Time” for those who can’t make up their minds (we see you, VATS fans).
- “More Dialogue Options Than A Customer Service Phone Tree” for our fellow conversation enthusiasts.
- “Inventory Management: The Game” for those who find joy in color-coded backpacks.
With over 2,000 titles, a tagging system is really becoming a must have. Imagine finding your perfect game faster than you can say “just one more turn.” It’ll be like Tinder, but for games and with a much higher chance of finding your perfect match!

GeForce NOW, you’re already blowing our minds, but we know you’ve got more tricks up your sleeve. Keep pushing those boundaries! Make these features happen, and you’ll have us praising your name so much people will think we’ve joined a tech cult. In fairness, our love for cloud gaming has many people already saying that.
P.S. Oh, NVIDIA, you beautiful green giant, we’ve got one more itty-bitty request. How about a wishlist feature right in the GeForce NOW app? Think of all the calories we’ll save by not having to click our way to Steam. It’s basically a fitness feature at this point. GeForce NOW: Come for the cloud gaming, stay for the cardio savings!
Great list! I’d add one more – mods. Not open season, roll your own, hacks and jacks – but a hook up with a trusted third party, like WeMod who would oversee the process and keep it totally legit. I know this is a much requested feature and it would be a true game changer for me 🙂
