Another week has passed and another set of games have opted into GeForce NOW (GFN) on Steam. This week’s list is highlighted by an upcoming game from Focus Entertainment and a recently released free to play title.
As a reminder, opting into GFN on Steam means that a publisher is willing to have their title join the service. But, it isn’t a 100% guarantee that NVIDIA will accept the games. There is a bit of work involved in testing the games on the GeForce NOW servers and in releasing the game. In the past, we’ve found that well-known/popular titles that opt-in do end up coming to the service. But, lesser known titles are more hit and miss.
Newly Opted In Games
Here are the four games that opted into GeForce NOW on Steam this week.
This list is highlighted by Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden which is an upcoming release from DON’T NOD and published by Focus Entertainment. The game will arrive on Steam February 13, 2024 and is available for pre-sale at a price of $49.99. The game, set in the title area of “New Eden” in 1695, is described as a “story-driven Action-RPG” where you hunt ghosts. You can view the trailer at the link above.
HAWKED is a “PvPvE extraction shooter” from MY.GAMES that has near 1,500 mixed reviews on Steam since it’s release (in early-access) in November of 2023. The game has a Fortnite graphical style and is set on a mysterious island full of monsters and puzzles.
