During yesterdays State of Play, PlayStation announced that they are working on a remake of the original God of War Trilogy. This project is in very early development, and it will bring back TC Carson to the franchise, the original voice actor for Kratos.
However, that was not the only big God of War news to come from the showcase. PlayStation unveiled and shadow-dropped God of War Sons of Sparta. A brand new title in the franchise that tells the story of young Kratos during his training.
It is a 2D platformer developed by Mega Cat Studios and features TC Carson as the game’s narrator.
God of War’s kinetic combat has found a home in a brand-new genre. Kratos will learn deadly skills using his spear and shield, as well as harness powerful divine artifacts known as the Gifts of Olympus to take on a wide array of foes.
The good news for cloud gaming fans is that the game has launched straight into PlayStation Cloud Gaming. This means that as long as you are a member of PlayStation Plus Premium and own the game, you will be able to play it in the cloud on your PS5 console and PlayStation Portal device.
