To celebrate Vermintide’s 7 years anniversary, developer Fatshark is giving away Warhammer: Vermintide 2 for free on Steam. This giveaway, also coincides with the free DLC, Chaos Wastes, releasing next week. Later this month, Fatshark will release Warhammer 40.000: Darktide. A new entry in the Tide saga with similar gameplay and feel.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a 4-player co-op action game set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world. Sequel to the critically acclaimed Vermintide, Vermintide 2 is the latest installment in a franchise best known for its intense and bloody first-person melee combat. Vermintide 2 released in 2018 with major success.
Those who claim Vermintide 2 for free on Steam, will be able to play via the clouds thanks to GeForce NOW. Considering that the game is graphically demanding, and the download is over 100gb, cloud gaming is a great solution. In adittion, GeForce NOW offers most of Warhammer’s titles. We have yet to see if Darktide will also be available on GeForce NOW, but changes are that it will. Specially considering that NVIDIA and Fatshark partnered to offer free copies to those who purchase one of the latest GPUs from NVIDIA.
