Take-Two Interactive has officially reaffirmed that GTA VI will launch in Fall 2025, confirming the long-awaited GTA VI release date. The news comes as part of Take-Two’s Q3 FY2025 financial report, which highlighted $1.37 billion in net bookings, a 3% increase year-over-year, and an upcoming release lineup stacked with major titles.
Grand Theft Auto VI Release Date Confirmed
During the earnings call, Take-Two Chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick assured investors and fans alike that GTA VI remains on schedule for Fall 2025.
“This calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two,” Zelnick stated. “We plan to launch Sid Meier’s Civilization VII in February, Mafia: The Old Country in the summer, and Grand Theft Auto VI in the fall.”
With GTA VI launching in Fall 2025, anticipation continues to build. The game, developed by Rockstar Games, will be the first new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series in over a decade.
Take-Two’s Upcoming Game Lineup
In addition to GTA VI, Take-Two has a packed 2025 schedule, featuring major games across its 2K, Rockstar Games, and Zynga divisions:
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – February 11, 2025
- PGA TOUR 2K25 – February 2025
- WWE 2K25 – March 2025
- Mafia: The Old Country – Summer 2025

Several other games, including Judas (Ghost Story Games), 2K’s Project ETHOS, and CSR 3 (Zynga) remain undated but are expected to release within the next two years.
Take-Two’s Q3 FY2025 Financial Highlights
While GTA VI stole the spotlight, Take-Two reported strong financials for the quarter ending December 31, 2024:
- GAAP Net Revenue: $1.36 billion, slightly down from $1.37 billion in Q3 FY2024.
- GAAP Net Loss: $125.2 million, up from $91.6 million last year.
- Total Net Bookings: $1.37 billion, a 3% year-over-year increase.
Recurrent consumer spending—which includes GTA Online, NBA 2K microtransactions, and Zynga mobile revenue—rose 9%, now accounting for 79% of total net bookings.
GTA VI to Drive Record-Breaking Sales in 2025 and 2026
With Grand Theft Auto VI confirmed for Fall 2025, Take-Two is projecting record-breaking revenue for Fiscal 2026 and 2027. The company expects the massive success of Grand Theft Auto VI to drive unprecedented engagement, sales, and microtransaction revenue.
Rockstar Games has yet to reveal new gameplay footage or details, but speculation is already mounting about potential pre-order bonuses, next-gen exclusive features, and online multiplayer expansions.
