Lost Ark Introduces New Class and Massive Progression Revamp

The world of Arkesia is shifting under the weight of a massive new update. Today, Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG launched the Guardians’ Rage update for Lost Ark, celebrating the game’s fourth anniversary with the debut of the Guardianknight class and a total overhaul of the early-to-mid-game progression system. For cloud gamers streaming via GeForce NOW or Boosteroid, these changes offer the perfect opportunity to jump back into the action. There is significantly less “grind” standing in the way of endgame content.

The headliner of the update is the Guardianknight, a formidable warrior who wields a massive halberd and harnesses the power of fallen guardians. By filling her Embereth Orb Gauge, she can enter an “Incarnation” state, gaining speed and abilities that manifest as claws, wings, and scales. To help players master this new playstyle, the update includes a dedicated Class Awakening Quest and new training room guides.

Streamlining the Early Game Grinding

Beyond the new class, the most impactful change for the community is a sweeping Progression System Revamp. The gear honing system has been entirely removed for Tier 3 lower-tier Ancient gear and below,. Allowing players to reach the endgame faster. Honing now begins at Tier 3 upper-tier (Akkan) gear. This change, paired with the new Milestone Mission System aims to ensure that players can focus on combat rather than tedious material management.

To celebrate four years of Lost Ark, the update introduces the South Rimeria Event Powerpass. This boosts a character directly to Item Level 1640. Combined with the Challenge Express event and the Mokoko Bootcamp for new and returning players, there has never been a more efficient time to experience the raids that define the Lost Ark experience.
