Microsoft and Boosteroid Partnership Begins

Boosteroid Hearts Microsoft and Xbox

Update: The first four Xbox games are now live on Boosteroid!

Boosteroid is getting Microsoft titles a couple weeks after Gears 5 arrives in the cloud via Geforce NOW.

Despite the future of Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard being uncertain, Microsoft is staying committed to bringing more games to more players. Microsoft made the deals with the promise of bringing their titles, including Activision Blizzard IP should the acquisition go ahead, to multiple cloud gaming services. It looks like Boosteroid is set to benefit starting June 1.

What Games Are Coming?

Last week, Geforce NOW and Microsoft added Gears 5 to the service, with DEATHLOOPGrounded and Pentiment to follow this week. Starting from June 1st, these same titles will be available to Boosteroid as part of their own ten year deal with Microsoft

One thing we’d like to point out is that we previously asked Boosteroid if these games would land in the Boosteroid service “Library” or “Install and Play” collection. The team confirmed to us that the games would be coming to the “Library” – which we believe provides the best cloud gaming experience on the service.

One question we had when the news broke of the different cloud gaming services getting Microsft games was whether each service would have a different set of games and how they would be distributed. Whilst it is early days, it seems, at least, that each cloud platform will be getting the same list of titles.

There will certainly be much more news on this subject going forward. We cannot wait to see how quickly more Microsoft titles come to these cloud services and which games they will be.

We will be sure to report on these details as and when they happen. So be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook, and subscribe to us on YouTube. Happy gaming!
