With us entering the month of April, now it is time for us to take a look back at March 2024 and what games came to the platform. During March, we saw three games come to the platform. This includes one cloud game (which is always amazing to see) as well as two mobile games. One of which is iOS only. So without further ado let’s dive in!

Infernax (Cloud Game)

The first game we are going to take a look at is the latest cloud game which has been added to Netflix Games. This game is called Infernax. In this 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania you play as a young Duke Alecdor; who returns home to his village to see it has been overrun by monsters upon his return from the Crusades. This game also has a robust leveling system, which allows you to buy upgrades and new equipment from the gold and experience points you earn by defeating enemies and taking on quests. This game was developed by Berzerk Studio and published by The Arcade Crew.

Infernax is the first new cloud game on Netflix in months, and it is great to see Netflix is still experimenting with different game genres as they look to turn cloud gaming into a major part of Netflix’s business. The Beta for Netflix Cloud Gaming is available to Netflix users in the UK, US, and Canada. Infernax is the ninth game which has been made available to Netflix subscribers through cloud gaming.

Game Dev Tycoon (Android and iOS Mobile Game)

The next game on our list is Game Dev Tycoon. In Game Dev Tycoon, you take charge as you build your game development studio during the 1980s. You must design your games across different genres and platforms as you build your gaming empire. In this version of the game, however, you can base some of your games off of select Netflix movies and use live-streaming as a way to market your in-game titles.

Hades (iOS Exclusive Mobile Game)

The final game on our list is the roguelike dungeon-crawler Hades. Traverse an ever-changing underworld as you fight waves of monsters as Zagreus, the Prince of the Underworld and son of the Greek God Hades. With beautiful graphics and engaging gameplay, Hades won many awards when it was released back in 2020. Its inclusion on Netflix is nice to see. Unfortunately, Hades is the first video game to be released on Netflix Games which did not receive an Android version, which hopefully doesn’t become a trend.

Final Thoughts

Netflix has continued to grow its video game offerings month over month. As we enter April it will be interesting to see if Netflix can top what it released in March. Netflix has roughly 30+ more games planned for the year, so I am waiting excitedly to see what they have planned. If you’re a Netflix subscriber in the US, UK, or Canada, make sure to check out Netflix’s cloud gaming Beta. Especially the game Infernax.
