Xbox Game Studios and Obsidian have officially announced that one of their biggest action-RPG from recent years, Avowed, will be breaking its console exclusivity. As announced at the New Game+ Showcase 2026, the game is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on February 17. This release coincides with the game’s one-year anniversary and the launch of a significant “Anniversary Update” across all platforms. Including Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud gaming services.

For cloud gaming users, Avowed remains a flagship title on Xbox Cloud Gaming. It is currently accessible to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The upcoming Anniversary Update is set to be the game’s largest yet. Introducing highly requested features such as New Game Plus and a dedicated Photo Mode. Players can also look forward to a brand-new weapon type, additional character presets, and expanded customization options.

Since its initial launch on February from last year, Avowed has been a favorite title for handheld gamers using devices like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally. With pre-orders for the PS5 version opening today, even more players will soon be able to explore the Living Lands. Regardless of the platform, the February update is certain to breathe new life into Obsidian’s latest masterpiece.
