Outcasters is Back! And It’s Free To Play!

Outcasters, an underrated game and Stadia exclusive (not to mention one of my favorite games ever) has gone free to play!

Gooogle broke the news today on their most recent blog post that the fun, fast action, twin stick shooter is now free to play. It’s free for everyone, whether you’re a pro subscriber or not.

Outcasters – Stadia exclusive and now free to play

Outcasters (from Splash Damage) launched on Stadia in December 2020 straight into Stadia Pro. It was removed from the Pro line up shortly after. After a good start, the lobbies started to quiet down and it has been quiet ever since. No updates. No patches. Nothing new. Even their twitter team went silent in November 2021. They haven’t tweeted since. Until today that is.

This is very exciting news, not only for the fans of the game, but also for the platform. To have a unique exclusive like this that is free to play, could be just what was needed to turn this game around. Hopefully we start to see full lobbies return.

I will be streaming the game again soon, that’s for sure.
